Magdalena leads the firmâ€™s Private Client Tax practice, advising internationally mobile individuals and families on personal tax planning, relocation, and wealth structuring. With a background in immigration and legal advisory, she specialises in cross-border mandates involving tax residency, estate planning, and asset protection. Her clients include family offices, entrepreneurs, creatives, and senior professionals. Magdalena is also a frequent contributor to global tax and immigration forums.

Experience

Magdalena Velkovska joined the firmâ€™s immigration practice in 2017, bringing with her valuable in-house legal experience. In her early years, she worked closely with some of the firmâ€™s most prominent private clients, developing a strong foundation in investment and entrepreneur immigration to Malta.

In 2020, she transitioned to the tax advisory arm, where she led the personal tax advisory and compliance team. Her work focuses on bespoke personal tax planning, tax residency solutions, and Maltaâ€™s special tax status programmes, designed for individuals considering relocation.

Promoted to Director, Private Client Tax in 2025, Magdalena now leads complex cross-border mandates that span tax, wealth structuring, and multi-jurisdictional legal coordination. Her clientele includes family offices, professional athletes, artists, digital creators, crypto entrepreneurs, aviation and maritime professionals, and senior executives. She delivers strategic guidance on international tax planning, asset protection, and estate structuringâ€”providing integrated solutions for globally mobile individuals and families.

Magdalena is also a regular speaker at international conferences and workshops focused on immigration and tax, representing the firm and its affiliated professional services entities.
